What’s the Telephone Techniques training course about?
All of us use the telephone, whether at home or work, and it’s a common form of business communication. So, it should be easy, right? Answering calls, taking messages, phoning customers or suppliers… what can be so difficult?
Well, as many of us know, it’s not always that easy. Sometimes it’s due to the environment, such as working in a busy call taking centre, or with potentially difficult callers and/or situations. Poor or miscommunication, angry customers, trying to use the right tone and pace… all of these things can lead to a customer feeling they’ve had bad service. And this can really impact business reputation and performance.
The telephone techniques training course is a 1/2 day session which is designed to enable delegates to feel more confident when using the telephone. We examine the advantages and disadvantages of this form of communication, identify how to create a positive impression when making and receiving calls, and look at the different communication skills required for dealing with incoming and outgoing calls efficiently and effectively.

What’s the cost?
The Telephone Techniques generic training course is a half day duration. The cost of the half day’s training is £300 (plus VAT). This is for the training to take place in your own business premises, with a maximum of 8 delegates, using your own facilities. So, there’s no travel costs for the learners, in terms of both mileage and time. (Alternative premises and equipment hire can be arranged at an additional cost – contact us for more information).
